Here at UX Passion we work in a highly varied multi-disciplinary team and now we are looking for our next visual designer / user interface designer.
You will be responsible for contributing and developing a variety of visual design assets across multiple teams, business verticals and platforms – from web and mobile to the cloud and emerging technologies. You’ll be in charge of the asset from concept ideation to final delivery.
The role is in our Zagreb, Croatia office, and remote working is not possible at this time.

Your duties and responsibilities
You will work closely with all team members, but most notably with our front-end developers and information architects. We cannot overstate the importance of your close-knit collaboration and mutual understanding.
Your main task will be creation of concepts and fully-fledged visual designs and solutions for web and mobile, the cloud and emerging technologies. You’ll own the visual design side and will be responsible for creating high-quality, precise, pixel-perfect, sharp and delightful assets for each and every platform. To do this you’ll have certain healthy obsession with details and perfectionism.
You will support creation and delivery of innovative digital interface design solutions for all platforms. Your deliverables will be responsive design solutions for all screens, large and small.
We expect you to feel comfortable developing quick prototypes.
Probably our most important requirement - your work ethic must be extraordinary. You should see your work personally fulfilling while still delivering amazing designs.
You absolutely must be able to meet deadlines, thrive under pressure and be able to communicate directly and politely with project stakeholders.
You must be able to speak English. Any additional languages are a nice extra!
You are passionate about learning new things, you’ll spend some of your free time working on your personal and professional development, learning from blogs, magazines and going to occasional conferences. We will make sure you get the resources, books – we will send you to some of the industry’s finest events. In general, self-improvement and constant learning is encouraged and we love it!
Your portfolio must show up-to-date trends in design and great UX acumen.
You will be a great communicator – you must be able to give, share, ask for, solicit and in all other ways be involved in our honest feedback process.

Your qualifications and requirements
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, most notably Photoshop and Illustrator. It’s a big plus if you have experience with Sketch.
Advanced UX skills and knowledge of user-centred processes, standards and general expertise.
In-depth knowledge of design principles – layouts, harmony, rhythm, colour theory, typography and design interaction.
Strong ability to work closely and understand developers and information architects as you’ll be working closely with them, day-in, day-out. It’s a big plus if you have at least basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS.
Your must be able to work on several projects in parallel while keeping a strong focus on quality and deadlines.

You must be self-disciplined and open to changes in the schedule – delays on projects will happen and you’ll be comfortable switching between your different work streams.
We don’t really care about your formal education.
You’ll land a job with UX Passion if you have the qualities listed here, a strong portfolio (don’t apply if you don’t have your portfolio ready – we don’t need dozens of examples, several well-executed projects will be just fine) and, more important than your portfolio, the ability to explain and defend your decisions behind your designs.
