A Superb Showcase of Swiss Style Music Flyers
You're a punk rock music fan and you're into graphic design? This is a great showcase website for you then!
Swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce, owner of Stereotype Design in New York City. Drawing on his love of punk rock and Swiss modernism, two movements that have (almost) nothing to do with one another, Mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, and indie rock show flyers into international typographic-style posters.

For those designers who are interested in the details – each design is set in lowercase Berthold Akzidenz-Grotesk Medium (not Helvetica).
However, the showcase gallery is not just for punk rock shows – you can find all kinds of flyers: from the Ramones, Descendents, Bad Religion, Refused, Misfits, NoFX and 7 Seconds, Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Youth Of Today and Bad Brains to Nick Cave, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, The Cure and Pearl Jam.
Also, the interesting thing is that every single one of these shows actually happened. So, if you are a designer and you are into punk rock / indie / rock / new wave music, this is definitely something to look at. Who knows, maybe Mike will inspire you for your next show flyer.
