HOW TO: Convert PowerPoint to Silverlight (Deep Zoom) like presentation

How to convert PowerPoint (PPTX) presentation into Silverlight – Deep Zoom like experience? In this article I am providing you with all resources you need and several videos to help you out. Final result: Your presentation as a unique and great zoomable experience. Go and try it!

First thing you need is free tool called pptPlex – cool prototype developed by Microsoft Office Labs.

In their words – pptPlex is a plug-in that explores an alternate method for presenting a PowerPoint slide deck. Using pptPlex, you can present your slides as a tour through a zoomable canvas instead of a series of linear slides.

You can download it from here.

It will integrate seamlessly in PowerPoint 2007 as a new tab “pptPlex” in ribbon.

All you need to do then is to open your existing presentation or create new one.

How to create zoomable presentation? Well, instead of describing every step I’m embedding few video clips describing the whole process and providing you with all information.
